I'll be installing a new tranny (727) in the Charger soon and am going to order some new cooler lines also.  I now have a B&M temp. gauge that I've never liked much.  Its sensor tees right into the cooler line with a brass compression fitting.  I really don't want to go chopping up my new lines to reinstall this ten year old unit.  Are there better options out there?  Bob

Remember the average response time to a 911 call is over 4 minutes.

The average response time of a 357 magnum is 1400 FPS.

So, you have to drill and tap the pan?

I drilled and brazed a brass fitting in the pan. You can use the drain plug fitting if it does not point down. Or a oring insert.

I've been surfing the net a little and discovered that some people install the sensors in the pressure test port.  Assuming the threads would match (1/8" pipe?), is there any reason why this couldn't be done on a torqueflite?  Thanks, Bob

As long as it gets  a constant supply of fluid to sample it should work. Some test ports see 200+ psi in reverse though. Cooler lines are 20psi or so.
