Need help, just bought a Eddy CH4B intake.....

I think I know the answer to the question already but, does this hole suppose to be here? How can I have this fixed if possible? Why would anyone do this? Thanks!

Sneaky Nitrous Maybe?
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

When I was looking at those intakes on ebay, I remember seeing a hole like that on the bottom of others.

That hole goes to the 1/8 " pipe plug fitting on the passenger side of the intake.It is to draw warm air to a heated type thermostatic choke.If you are not using it,just put a 1/8" pipe plug in the threaded hole and let the bottom as it is.

Thanks 62 Max! I have to look closer at the hole again, I don't remember if I saw threads in the hole...

That hole is not threaded.The threaded hole is on the passenger side below the carb mounting flange.

I have seen then with this hole & some without...like 62 said it depends if it has the choke provision or not.  Wont hurt anything if you leave it there IMHO

i wondered if they came both ways like that, i believe i have one of each and was thinking the one with the hole was from a heat riser blow through.

If you look at mine I do have a hole for the choke well but it is a blank.  Others I have seen no hole at all & others have the hole & tube to the bottom

If you use the Felpro #1215 intake gasket set (highly recommended) those holes are a non issue. If it makes you feel better you could simply used a smear of JB Weld to close the hole.  ;)
