I bought the remains of three 69 grilles a couple of years ago (to build one good grille) and one of them had a passinger side piece (bottem part) that was warped like that.  After looking at it closer, the edge piece (usually hidden under the bumper) was scorched and burned , but it was still salvable using a plastic repair kit.  I think that was on a parts car that had been in a "controlled" fire that luckly did not get to the whole grille.  I don't think that the one in your picture can be fixed as easily though. ...

My grille is melted too....the passenger grille bucket is bubbled on one side.

yeah i have seen a few grills warped like that , well not as bad ..... another one i have seen is melted patches behind the head light door , never thought they got that hot

i have pulled a couple of grills that were melted on the back and corner pieces. It was usually from someone trying to remove the seized bolts on the back by heating it up with a torch, same deal with bumper brackets, melting the corners.

     never thought ..of that , by some one heating /torching  bolts

Well, out here in the midwestern US, you can get prairie fires going from dry grasslands or from fields, usually in the hot summer time (dry season).  Sometimes, farmers do a controlled burn by igniting part of their field after they are done harvesting certain types of crops.  If they are on the ball, the fire just burns the intended field and then they can procede to the next planting regumine.  Unfortunately, where I am from is also a very windy area and can spread the fire quite quickly if you are not paying attention.  That can cause the unintended areas (like where cars are stored) around the farms to get burned too.  If the grass is not very high and the car is mostly stripped down (no drivetrain), you might get lucky and see the grille looking like the one in your picture......
