What is correct, color painted door locks or chrome door locks?  They are both different in apperance.  The color one is narrow at the top, and has a knurled edge to it.  The chrome one has a wide top on it.

I'm sure this came up before but I can't seem to find it.  I believe that the Chargers from 66 to 70 all had the chrome buttons but...

Well maybe in special Packages or something like that, but still I am not sure, I think I should just go with what I have.

Not sure if there was any rime or reason for what they did back in the day. I have 2 69's and one has green plastic, not painted, and the other one has black plastic, not painted. Pretty sure what ever you use will pass inspection.

A look at the '66 and '67 parts book both show multiple colors available chrome included.
The '69 book just has a listing for chrome.
