My mum had to call the ambulance last night when my dad (75yo)fell out of the bed, completely dazed and confused.
He then again fell between the closet and the home trainer hiting his head, resulting in a wound above his eye.
(My mum went out the room while this happend to look for an extra mattress to give extra support)
They came to bring him over to the ER.

I saw my father this afternoon , he barely was awake, did not recognise me. :(

Tests told us he would most probably not had a stroke but sort of epilepsy :shruggy:
He's been taken to the IC for being monitored 24/24.

I felt I lost my dad today :'(  ... damn  :oye:

Damn, that's a terrible feeling. I hope they'll be able to figure out the problem & he'll be able to pull through it ok. :pity:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Sorry to hear that. I hope there is a positive change in the situation. I was there not too long ago. Best wishes.

That's very sad.
Broke my heart just reading it. It's so hard to look at someone like a Dad and see how frail we are as humans.  A dad iis like a statue of strengh for most of us. To watch our fathers pain is so hard to do.  I hope he is doing better.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Sheesh, I don't know what to say.  I am so sorry to hear this.  Hopefully your father will recover fully and get back to his normal self again.  It sucks to hear it happen espcially when it is someone that close to us.

Your family will be in our thoughts.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

We're so sorry to hear that Christian. I pray that he makes a full recovery!  Keep us posted. :yesnod:

I sure hope everything is alright. But there is hope even if it is a hemorage as long as its caught in time. My grandfather about popped a blood vessel in his brain about 10 years back. it actually burst on the operating table. The weeks before that he had no idea who I was. Now he's mostly back to normal, as normal as he can get. So keep the faith.

A similar thing happened in my family. It took a long time to figure it out and eventually a pace-maker was the answer. Unfortunately it didnt get worked out until Dad totaled his car, thankfully causing not much damage except to the car and a tree. Hang in there - they will figure it out.

Prayers and best wishes to your Dad and your family, I know how you are feeling at this time, I lost my Dad in 1990, he was having chest pains
and went to the hospital, they said he had a mild heart attack, nothing to worry about, over night stay and he would be out the next day, he died that night, sad thing is we all went home because they said he would be fine, and that we didn't need to sit there all night, not a day goes by that I don't miss him. :'( :'( :'( :'(

many thanks for the best wishes and the prayers, it seemed it helped a bit

my dad looked OK but sounded a little weak and disoriented but he isn't in critical condition.
Sad thing is the doctor won't or can't (?) tell what is really going on.
My mom and our family don't understand why the doc is so shallow.

Hope dad recovers soon without any consequences.

Thanks again

Sounds like things may be taking a turn in the right direction. Keep the faith. I hope they figure it out and get it taken care of.

Sorry to hear about your dad's health.
Probably the doctor doesn't really know what is going on, it could be so many things...
Remember the doc has lots of patients, and probably not much time to spend with each one, plus with all the death and sicknesses they deal with, they have to harden their hearts to pain, otherwise they would be crushed each time a patient took a turn for the worse, or passed on.  Hopefully its not that the doc doesn't care, but has built a wall to shield feelings behind [?]
It would be much worse for the families if the doc told everyone things were improving or would be ok all the time.
