Moparbob

Hi,

Is there a list of ALL the codes somewhere? Also my car has factory disc brakes, and several things that are not on its tag? Somehow I have a blank tag off of a junker we had and Im thinking of making a correct one for my car.

Is the D34 trans the 727 or 904?

904... D36 would be a 727

T97647 - Vehicle Order number - T in the VON means "Chrysler lease car".

lisiecki1

that's interesting.....do the numbers following it have any significant meaning?

My previous Charger had D34 and was a 727 with a 318. The codes on the trans matched up to 727 ones and it was numbers matching.

:shruggy: dunno what to tell you...depends on the car i guess...maybe if you have D41 (HD Clutch) you have a 727 as well

Do you have a picture of a 74 tag with D36 on it to confirm your post?

How would you have a heavy duty clutch with a 727? :scratchchin:

It is more likely that your Charger got the 727 by mistake in that case.  I wonder if that meant there was a 340 car somewhere shipped with a 904??

Ghoste, by '73 all standard duty automatic transmission, regardless of the variation, coded D34 unlike earlier years where there was a distinction between D31 (904) and D32 (727).

D34 only means 'automatic transmission'.

I would like to see a picture of a tag with D36. That would be interesting.

I was going with the assumption that he is correct in that his car was a 318 with a 727.  He didn't say it was coded for D36, only D34.

Foreman72

of so a D34 only means it has an auto...no specific one...ok...thats my bad then...and the code was my bad too...i didn't realize that the cutoff was 71
