i see amd is selling their own rear valance corners. are these the  same lousy fitting parts.  or are they the1/4inch wider and fit like nos. thanks

If they are anything like the rest of their line , they will need some tweaking . I just replaced from doors back on 68 Road runner and most everything needed adjustment . All of this china shit needs tweaking

Charger-Bodie

No Offense Larry, But even if you had nos for that big of a job , you would still be tweaking. :Twocents:
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

I used them on mine and they are not perfect but they were much better than the other option which I bought as well.

I doubt it because all of the after market sheet metal is made using utilizing reverse engineering method to make stamps

i bought yo's part years ago . are the amd.s  the same old part or are they correct as far as correct can be made. i know there are such terrible gaps when you try and fit them.  there's  that guy in racine wis with the 69 hemi shows how to stretch them out. i was trying to avoid during that.

I'd like to know if the AMD ones are better than the Charger Specialties ones. My shop is getting ready to do them soon and I gave them 69Hemi's notes. If the AMD are better for real then I'll go that route.

Anyone know for sure?

I don't see how anything freshly-tooled could be any worse than the existing repros.  Those things are probably worse than what most of us can do just hand-fabbing the pieces from scratch.

Order the AMD and go with them.  They are not perfect, but fit and look much more like the original ones.

I used the AMD corners, and they were a very good fit.Only minor trimming etc to make them fit very well.I have used the older repro corners before and they did not fit good at all without lots of reworking

The AMD ones were better than the old crappy Charger Specialties ones. That said, they still needed a fair amount of tweaking.
