Heres the story its kind of a long one but you kind of need all the info to be able to help me out.

In August of '08 I purchased a 98 ram off a local dealership, the truck was mint, low miles, lots of options and had the 5.9.  When I test drove the truck I noted to the sales person the A/C wasn't working and Id want it fixed but I planned to purchase it that night so he said I could bring it in the next day.  Next day he told me to just buy a can of refridgerant and recharge it, since I got such a good deal I didnt argue and just spent the $8.00.  Turns out that wasnt the issue, I called them they said they cant help me because they took such a big loss on the truck.
I never towed with the truck, and only load I put in it was my Yamaha Banshee which weighs around 300-400lbs.  In October I was on my way to school on the highway and all 5 studs on the rear left tire sheered off so I lost the tire, rim, bent the axle, the brakes were destroyed ect.  After the truck was towed to the dealership, they told me they think they overtorqued the studs.  I went in the next day the service manager insisted it wasnt their fault, they didnt know what caused it and said I made the whole thing up and it never happened, all while my truck is sitting on their lift with over $2500.00 in damage.  I told him to get my truck off his lift I had it towed to a different shop, they fixed it, my insurance covered it, it cost me $525.00 for the deductable, so my insurance is currently suing theirs.  I picked up the service record and it said they had the same tire off to do brake work 2 days before I purchased the truck.
In the service record it said they knew the A/C wasnt working, but still included the A/C on the window sticker.  Since the tire incident I didnt really trust their mechanics so I asked them if I could bring in some estimates and just get a check written out to me.  They said they would give me a hour diagnosis free, so I figured they couldnt do much damage in a hour so I let them.  I was wrong they broke my grill, put a 1/4 inch cut in my tire and didnt latch the hood so it almost flew up.  I told the manager in a email I was going to write letters to the attourney general, N.A.D.A, and A.S.E., they told me they would fix my A/C, but since my tire fell off last time they worked on it, and did so much damage the one other time I told them no.  I'm getting a estimate, could I sue them for my A/C since I have the window sticker and the service record saying they knew the A/C wasnt working before I bought it?

I would definitely get a legal consult on this one.  Sounds like you have some proof and that should help you out greatly.

What State is this in and what's the dealership's name so I and everyone else on this board knows not to go there or deal with them.

More than one way to skin a cat, or dealer in this case.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Its Bonneville and Son, in Manchester, New Hampshire.  I'm going to meet with my lawyer maybe tomorrow or next week.

Well, they are relatively close. I'm above you up here in Maine.  There are a few of us NE'ers around this site that can spread the word fairly quickly.  I know a few people who are from Manchester and their families live there, etc.....
Keep the pressure on them and stand your ground.  They will do the right thing.  Sad it works that way but it is the dealer mentality IMHO.
Keep us posted.

Yup just today I went in to talk to the sales manager damien, as soon as I walked in he asked me what my purpose was for being there again, I explained I want my a/c fixed but their not doing it.  He told me I wasnt getting anything out of them and if I wanted it fixed they would be the ones doing it and "if I didnt like that theres the door".  He told me when I meet with my lawyer to make sure I explain they said they would fix it, I told him not to worry I had the estimate and would give my lawyer all the paperwork and walked out.  Every review I read online about that dealership was negative, so lets get the word out.

Good luck and keep the pressure on.

It sounds like what a lot of dealerships seem to do -  They're willing to put X-amount of hours into fixing any given vehicle for free.  After that, they start demanding money.  It doesn't matter what the problems or whose fault it was.

Somebody needs to teach them that's not how it works when they break something.

Thats the idea, they kicked me out yesturday so I wont be going back, but I think their going to get the hint when they get served to go to court.  I'm hoping that they chose to not show up since I'll only be suing for around a grand or so, I think they wont find that worth their time to show up.

Good luck!

There was a guy around here who obviously had some bad dealings with the chevy dealership here...for weeks and weeks he would park across the street during rush hour with BIG signs saying "Meyer Chevrolet sells lemons"  :D

NHCharger

That's funny. I hear Damien on their ad saying how well they treat their customers, just like his grandfather always did.
If every review you read on line was negative then why did you buy a car from them?
I'm over in Barrington BTW

I read them after I had issues, I went there because my dad had a good experience there

I hope you get your money. Lousy dealers like that need to be out of business, no dealer should treat a customer like that, period.
