Melt the lead, cut the tack welds...and voila...it's out.

Yeah, you can take them out.

But, listen to me . . .  from one GL fan to another . . .  the idea is not even on the table. 

Look at the value of a C500 or a Daytona.  You can buy several regular-windowed Chargers for one of them.  And they're so rare (about 900 cars had window plugs out of 230,000 Chargers in total between 1968-70) that the issue never even comes up in the first place anyway.

Apparently one of the television-series GL builders actually went to look at a pair of Daytonas for sale during the early 1980s.  He turned them down simply because it didn't look economical to de-convert them back to regular '69s for GL duty.

I thought i would go to Maaco and get the presidential package in the original color T7 Bronze.  then if i really dont like it, i'll paint it something else when i do the real body work.  Or just trade it to you for your car so i can have a different color.

that works as long at you get all the 5 speed stuff installed first ,   red is a more desireable color
