Anybody Else Go For a Cruise Today?

I went for my first cruise in a couple months today. I figured since it was so warm today and there was only a little bit of salt on the road. Who wouldn't go for a cruise when it is 16 degrees out. And it was the first time in the past three that it didn't die out on the road. The car was running great, I think it likes the cold weather. The usually misfiring 400 pulled great up to over 5500rpm and it forgot to misfire.

I am going for a cruise today. Unfortunatly it will be in the wifes minivan. :'(
Car isn't running right now even if I wanted to take it out(which I wouldn't).

Kinda different seeing one of these cars on the road with any kind of snow and salt on the road anymore. I wouldn't be that brave. Glad you had fun. It's always a great ride when everything works right. :icon_smile_big:

My Charger (and Vette) won't be seeing the salt-covered roads until April , so unfortunately I could only cruise in my F350 today  :eek2:

Hope you had fun, now go clean the underside of the car.  :slap:

;D
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

I will hose it off when it becomes above freezing. But the first thing I did when I got home was spray down as much as I could with WD-40 and used motor oil.

You must be in a "special" part of NJ that doesn't get "too much salt" ;)

I went for a 60 mile cruise today with several other cars. It was sunny and about 70 degrees, sometimes its good to live in AZ. Check with me in May and I'm sure I wont like it so much.  :coolgleamA:  First cruise in the GL since it was done. Nothing broke or fell off so it was a good day.  :smilielol:
I pointed to two old drunks sitting across the bar from us and told my friend
"That's us in 10 years".
He said "That's a mirror, dip-shit!

Can't fault you there, some times you just gotta get the fix.. Mine's all bare metal right now, so a ride in the RAIN would be bad right now

I haven't found that part yet, LOL.  I was going to take mine out for a ride today since I got the brakes and carb all fixed up, but I got sidetracked with working on the Cuda.

The only thing we put salt on here in Oregon is our food. But that doesn't make my Charger go together any faster.

I took my 71RT out for a run on Saturday. I'm in northern NJ also. Drove it for about 45min. My 440 loves the cold weather alot! The hemi 4-speed was a bit sluggish at first but once the gear oil warmed up it was shifting nice. I have GOT to get the ramcharger hood working. Winter project that I just haven't been able to get to.

Chris, Don't let them pick on you. I drove Mike's 2008 Hemi Charger today. I was impressed. It rides great, handles great, and it goes.  :2thumbs: Shelby's car is in the shop , so we have been sharing my car. The days she goes to school early " Grandpa" Mike has been picking me up for work. I talked him into letting me drive   :D  Love the bun warmers  :icon_smile_big: Mike and his wife went down to Florida for Xmas. Mike is 74. He got pulled over on the way home for doing 120 mpg. The police let him go. Prolly shocked it was a little old man. LOL MIke said it still had plently more to go too. hehehehe

Lucky for me, its always good to run my cars year round here in South Fla.. I had mine out to shows the last 2 weekends. It's been cooler around here with high's on the upper 60's and sunny. I filled the car up with some 93 octane and some (6) gallons of 110 race fuel from my Local Sunoco station. Man, that stuff really wakes a car up.

Cooler temps and race fuel makes the car seem completely different. I was ripping through intersections (Carefully of course) and huffing it down the freeway as much as 110 mph  :icon_smile_big: coming back from the show this past Saturday put on by the Mopars of Brevard in Melbourne Fl. Gonna put some more of that stuff in the car this weekend but at $6.89 a gallon, can't do that too often.

I love this Charger. Since I got my license on Tuesday I have put almost 100 miles on it. It's great to drive and the thumbs up and cool car are great. :2thumbs:
P.S. The new Charger is a great looking and performing car and I have no ill feelings about it.
