Map light hook-up question.

I bought a complete map light on the E-bay last week. I went out to put it in this afternoon and I cant seem to figger it out so, would any one have a pic or could tell me how the map light hooks up on a '68? I know where the red wire goes but I cant seem to figger out where the yellow wire plugs in. Ive got a wiring diagram book but I still cant seem to get it. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The yellow wire is the ground for the light. The light can get its ground from the door jamb switch, the instrument dimmer or the built in slide switch which grounds to the metal dash. Look for an empty connector with a yellow wire in the vicinity of the map light and plug it in there.

Ive hunted around for it but I cant seem to find it. I'm not going to guarantee I didn't overlook it tho. Could it possibly be taped up in the harness?

If I'm correct the map light should have a longer yellow wire with a female and a male bullet connectors on it.  the existing yellow wire for the right side door switch must plugin the map light one and the one goes to the door switch!

The switch has one Yellow wire with a male bullet connector end and one red wire with a push on clip end.
Heres what I have.

yours is for another model- it can be used!

Yea I was beginning to wonder if it was for another model. I noticed it was supposed to have 2 yellow wires instead of 1. What would this one fit?

yep- just splice the yellow wire to the yellow door wire!!!!

ive been trying to find that wiring diagram for a 69 charger for months, with no luck.  How close is it to a 69 accessory wiring diagram?

and where does it take the constant ground to turn on at any moment an not just with door ? chassis ?

3rd gens carries black wire to constant ground, but I guess because is a plastic unit

68 and 69 for what I have noticed are just diff on the jumper to keep parking lights on and never off when turning on headlights AND the back up lamps switch on shifter to 68s. Some other difference could it be unnapreciable

I couldn't find t it any where?   the other thing that was puzzling me yesterday was the dome light / console light wiring, where is this getting wired in ether on the fuse box or some where else?  the kid that had this charger before me really screwed up the electrical.   I have most of it done but since it had a lot of accessories and such i wanna make sure its all wired right.   any guidance would be awesome.

Did anyone ever find the Accessory wiring diagram for a 69 Charger? I need it. My Charger manual has one for a Dart but not a Charger.
