I've thought about doing one but I have so many irons in the fire now I'm not sure which one to work on next. A neaighbor down the road has an old cab over kenworth that I've thought about seeing if he'd be interested in paying me to haul it off.   :smilielol:

Where do I start here. I been looking for a cheap old Dodge, Diamond Reo, Brockway, a pre 1980 Mack or Superliner, or pre- 1980 International. I plan on buying a Peterbilt for work when the time is right again. Maybe a Kenworth K100 too.

I got an old rig....... :icon_smile_big:

The rig you are looking at is not old!  You should visit the ATHS web site and go from there if you think you want a hobby truck.

I love old trucks.
My favorites are the '72 through '80 Dodge PowerWagons. :yesnod: :yesnod:

I also like the "independent" trucks. I.E. the Jeep J20 and International Harvester Scout Terra. :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

I've been thinking about making a "Favorite Trucks" thread because I haven't seen one on here, but it looks like you beat me to it.  My favorite classic American truck is a 1969 Ford Ranger, hands down!  A SWB one with a big block and a 3-speed on the column would do me just right.

I like late 70's and early 80's kenworths, peterbilds and freightliners ! ;) gotta have someday a kenworth w900! smokey & the bandit!!  :2thumbs: but this is cool too, and fair price! : http://www.truckpaper.com/listings/detail.aspx?OHID=1941137&guid=B0FD13E6077C4B67B44CD19E84221B9C

I have seen those first two videos already. They're both from Canada. Those guys in the video are nuts. It's suprizing they don't tear the drive shaft right out, little alone the rear ends.

This guy is a member of "Hank's Truck Forum" that I'm also a member of. This is the actual Convoy movie truck & trailer, both fully restored. There are also picture posted in one of the truck threads here.

Here is his website with a bunch of great movie info. He also has restored the actual truck from the movie "Duel".

It was reconstructed with as much parts as possable from the real movie truck which was rolled after it was turned into a cement mixer. And it was licensed by the state as the real deal. If you read his website on the restoration of the truck, he tells in detail all about it. And, I owned the dvd of the movie since it was re-released. It's my all time fav movie.

I'll probably buy one in my, someday to come, truck!  ;D I sure would like to buy w900a or something like that freightliner I send earlier! but there's one bad thing about buying a truck....I would have to sell my charger first to get the money needed  :eek2:

Hmmm, I need to find my forum I started about a D-600 T/T

TruckDriver

I am having someone check out a W900 or W900a today in fact that has been sitting for sale for over a year now in a small town. It had faded paint, but overall, looked to be in good shape. I'm thinking it might be able to be had for under $15,000. if itis a '90s model like I think it is. I'll know more tonight or tomarrow. If I can get a loan, I want to buy a older truck, and go back to work for myself. Potato season here brings good money. I was told I could pay off a $20,000 truck in 5 months if I did that. Soooooooooo..........!

I don't know.  a rig to me is a Semi. A truck is a 1/2 up to a 1 ton. Maybe you still can start a new thread.  :2thumbs:

I always liked the needle nose Petes'.  I had one as my first assigned truck when I worked in the patch.

When I got off the road I had close to $20k in savings and planned on buying the truck I was running, which I got new.  Until I fell in lust with a cocktail waitress at Jubitz truck stop, all down hill from there.

Lowprofile

I'd love to get a old Dodge or Chevy Wrecker........someday :yesnod: :2thumbs:
