Also bull, you really shouldnt need that harness you linked to. Unless just for the end tha plugs into the dist wires....but you can get that off of any jusk yard car with that style electronic ign.

I missed this post. Actually it's only about $20 from Summit so at that price it would probably save me a lot of hassles. Or create some new ones...

JUST A NOTE... actual MP distribuitors are aprox 90º end off on shaft flat end, so wires need to be relocated or gear shaft turned. I opted for the second one to keep same stock wires location.
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Jeez, why don't they just call it a do-it-yourself kit.

you tell me. I paid the full Summit price and I had to do LOT OF JOB to make it properly work!!!

-mill every reluctor point to keep same gap all around.
-bend the pick up coil bracket to make to work the gap on VACUUM ON position. ( geometrically is imposible, but make it closer as posible ).
-check the gap on rest position once more.
-again in VACUUM ON.
-again in REST ( Had to check it around 4 times ). On every check, was spinning the reluctor to check the gap ON EVERY POINT!
-then, relocate the gear shaft. I noticed needed that when tried to make the plug and play and got BACKFIRING throught the carb!

I sent an email off to ask for a price on a Firecore set. Any idea what they normally run?

Curtis, there are several options available for the Firecore spark plug wires available. These are designed to work with Mopar engines and the lengths are perfect for the Chrysler application....not a universal, one size fit's all deal. Firecore has 2 sets for your application depending on the exhaust choice (headers vs manifolds) and they also come in either 8mm or 8.5mm. The 8mm look very stock and work with the factory looms....most guys going with a stock resto look opt for the 8mm.

I am a dealer for Rick@Firecore and this is a top shelf product. If you're interested tell me what size (8mm or 8.5mm) and what exhaust (header or hp manifold) and i will get you a price.

I'll contact you probably within the next couple weeks depending on if/when I take my engine in. I need to assess the costs of everything I need before I take it to the machine shop. I'd like to be able to install the engine right after the rebuild but that's going to require some extra work and, of course, cash.
