It's kind of hard to judge a picture based on the pictures. How is that car rust wise? It it helps, I paid $600 for my '73 with a 318. Basically no rust. Ripped seat, bad headliner and needs carpet.

Yep. That car is rustier than mine. My quarters have a few bubbles but thats it. Like I said, I paid $600 for mine but then again, I got a smokin' deal on it.

wiw?
Almost any car running is worth $800, if the frames' good and floors, ect. It's worth it, but try for $400 if worse comes to worse just paint over everything and make plywoods pans..... That way you can atleast drive it, but you'll be bk quality and you should restore GL's.
Let it alone^.

teamroth

Indeed you did. SO is 400 a fair offer?

My opion (no I cant spell and its probably wrong) yes its a good offer but I wouldn't hesitate too much to go to $800.
Good luck.

i'm in agreement with 500hp on this one.   :2thumbs:
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

69charger2002

it can't hurt to OFFER $400 as long as you don't insult him. can't try if you don't ask. but in my opinion i'd pay $500-600 easy for that car if it ran. even $800 is not terrible, if you plan to keep it

I think there has always been some sort of mantra that basically seyz that any running, test-passing car is worth $800. But if it doesn't have a floor, remember that plywood has gone through the roof these days - just steal road signs and pop 'em in!

That's how come my Jeep's still driveable!
Driver's side says yeild passenger says stop, and the doors match for a turnpike sign! lol jk

Tilar

Don't get caught with those road signs or your butt will be visiting Bubba in cell#4... Especially if someone happens to not stop where that stop sign was and kills somebody. And yeah, I took home some trophies when I was young and stupid too.

That said, I've bought running Dusters for anywhere from $50 on up. If it's a good driver, then $800 isn't out of line.

I agree Tilar, we'll see what happens. I'm not calling him yet, because I'm leaving for Fla on sat morning.

Just thought I would stop in for a few minutes.  There are a few things to look at on it as it is a slant six car. Chances are that it has small bolt pattern wheels with four wheel drum brakes. So it might be hard to get brake parts unless you move to big bolt pattern. It looks like there is a fair amount of rust in the rear 1/4's. Look at the trunk floor extensions and underneath.

I would have to say that what it is worth is entirely up to you and what you want to do with it. I just passed on a running driving 75 with a slant six that has very little rust for $600.

Anyway.  Got to go.   Later,  Jeremy

Ahhh I hate theme parks, Vacations are for mudding, hunting, racing and another ing.
Let it alone^.

teamroth

I've had my fair share of the ings you mentioned. But the theme park works for relaxING, drinkING,SwimmING, runnING around like a kid ridING the hell out of everythING they have. Remember I live in New York City, so the closest I come to anything like that is the subway, or a taxi, or drivING to work, or ridING my Harley  :scratchchin: hmmm come to think of it I live in an amusement park of a city don't I? I do like muddING and huntING, haven't really raced in quite some time, but I do squeeze between cars on the bike from time to time.
