Welcome to Fantasy Island.
Funny thing about Corinthian Leather, there is no such thing, just a catch phrase, but Ricardo made you believe that stuff man!  Go Ricky, Go.
May he rest in peace.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Guy was in a Corboda commercial.

(I just saw that on the news.)

TruckDriver

R.I.P. Ricardo, you WILL be missed :'(   I thought you were a great actor all around.

He also was famous for his role in Star Trek tv show

and the Star Trek II movie as Khan. He was totally awsome in the movie!

"Montalban was perhaps best known for his portrayal of the character Khan Noonian Singh, a genetically engineered, tyrannical super-human introduced in a 1967 episode of "Star Trek" that ended with the space ship USS Enterprise depositing Khan and his followers on an inhospitable planet. The plotline resumed 15 years later in the movie "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" (1982), with Montalban's character seeking vengeance."

Of course he was the tv guy for the Cordoba's.

Hence the Corinthian Leather reference.

Here you go young guns, read up and start watching nick at nite or tvland for reruns of fantasy island.  That show was a who's who of actors, both big and small, back in the late  70's to mid 80's.

What a great looking car...I loved them in the 70's, they sold quite well for Chrysler....I still chuckle when I recall Ricardo calling the Cordoba a "small Chrysler" !!!!!!!!!!!!

" I like what they did to MY car" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   PRICELESS!!

1980 J Body Cordoba..... fine road car! My Dad and his buddy at Chrysler used to trade their vehicles every other weekend, Volare' station wagon (remember the custom ones on Fantasy Island????) and a 80 nightwatch blue (triple blue) Cordoba..that Cordoba floated on the road!!! 318 gutless turd, though!!!!

Remember 79 Cordoba 300's with E58 360's??? another nice looking car!

Regardless, I bet there are cows in Corinth and if any of their hides were turned into leather...

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

SeattleCharger

I did an image search on altavista,  its like google,  and typed in ricardo montalban for some old movie/tv show pics, and all there was was pages of chrysler cordobas,

That third pic is for sale right now on ebay. It was listed before RM passed but seller just might get more for the car than he dreamed of.  Starting bid was $6k I believe.

Those are some nice cars and wouldn't mind owning a body style like that, Cordoba, Magnum,etc.....  Anyone got one for sale cheap in those years. ;D
