The 50th Anniversary of the Dodge Charger. *Cannonball*

I propose on this day 1/9/09 that on the 50th Anniversary of the Dodge Charger [2016] (which is also my 50th birth year) we show the automotive world our passion for our cars by running coast to coast in our Chargers.

All years welcome from 1966 to 2016 from New York City to San Diego. Most of us will have to drive back so it might cover 8 thousand miles.

Will it be tough, 
Will we make it? 

Visualize a Thunder Run with thousands of Charger taking up all lanes of the road, and gas pumps.
People from all walks of life, from the 4 corners of the earth; We will RIDE!!

We could raise money for some cause per mile, get trophies for, hard luck, never lifted the hood, the omg I'm on fire trophies.

Lets think about it, we need a stadium staging area, the media will be there, and celebrities.
It will be the biggest thing in our life times.

The 45th is already planned to be in Kansas City Mo. and is being aligned by John Culinberk. I've missed the last 2 due to financial woes. I am hoping against hope to make it to the 45th. I'll have to return to the original plans on another forum to make sure of the date and location. I'll put it up when I find it.

Now about the 50th. A buddy and myself have been kicking around the idea of setting it up at the new Z Max drag strip in Charlotte. It's right across from Charlotte Motor Speedway(Lowe's Motor Speedway to young'ns), is convenient to Mooresville, which is home to alot of race shops, and there's lots and lots of shopping venues for the missuses to occupy their time whilst the gents get there ears, eyes, and bellies full of stories, sights(ever hear the term G.R.I.T.S?), and good bbq and did I mention frosty cold adult beverages?
