Methinks this is a scam http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___1968-Dodge-Charger-R-T-440-Fourspeed-Dana-Rear-Green_W0QQitemZ270326146233QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item270326146233&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A727|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318. If not, click on the the "buy it now" and get the buy of your life.  :shruggy:  :scratchchin:  :P  :rotz:  :icon_smile_blackeye:  :popcrn:

Dan

Edit : there was a buy it now for $22K (at least that is what my eyes told me). Now the auction seems to be running its course. Still, This car has to be worth at least $40 to $45k in this market.

Edit 2: car was pulled from the auction today. :P

Looks legit to me.  45k is way to much, it still needs resto work, but 25k buy it now?  I would run down to see it if I was looking.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Who knows, maybe it's legit. I don't think $40k is attainable for the shape it's in and in the current economic climate. It's not in bad shape but it is kind of grubby (see the fender tag). Still, for what you're getting I'd think it might go into the low $30s.

Mopar2Ya

It's hard to tell from those pics, but it may have some rust. He said $25k buy it now. IMO, not worth $45k right now. Did I miss, is it #'s matching engine?

I think the reason the "Buy it now" button went away is because it made reserve price. It's either that or once it reaches a certain percentage of the buy it now it automatically goes away. I know I remember reading something about that on one listing that I did a year or so ago.

Does anyone here believe that this car is not a steal at $25k??? If I was still in the market for a 4-speed '68 I would be all over this, or at least take a trip out to look at it. Numbers matching, hurst shifter, dana rear, R/T, '68...except for not being a hemi it does not get much better (and I'm talking aero car). If it had serious rust issues I can see a very low selling price. But 25K?  :o

I agree, it's #'s matching so yes $25k seems good. It appears very drivable.  :shruggy:

Nope, had to order it. Another peculiarity with the 68's.

Ahh, true, but only with the '68's could you get the tach with a straight 6 engine...'69's and '70's limited them to 8 cyl only. Now, just try to find a '68 B engine code with a factory tach.... :P

Paul,

I know I'm venturing outside of my pay grade, but is your XX29 a factory 225 straight 6? I have enough problems with the 68's.... :brickwall: And I'd love to see a photo of your tag!

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Ghoste

Dan, to expand on Troys answer, there are NO six cylinder 69 Charger 500's.  Those cars all began life essentially as RT's which means 440 four barrel standard and 426 Hemi optional.
