alright, finaly starting my 69 Charger project in Seattle.     its a 69 RT/SE car which we got from little rock arkansas.     crazy story, the car was originaly intended to be the stunt car at one of the dukes of hazzard gatherings out east this year, well anyways, we saved it, purchased it august of 2004.      then, had a 'friend' go pick it up, well he never came back :flame:     the car ended up in the chicago area, and we finaly got it back this summer (2005) after loosing a ton of $$$$, and i stored at a friends house in st louis, who happened to be a couple of general lee fans.     the car was not rolling at the time, and they did some work to it, found some wheels, and what not and got it at least rolling.     here are some pictuers of their work:

there are a lot of the trim pieces and stuff which were stuffed inside the car too.     so its not JUST a bare bones shell, well, who am i kidding, for the most part it is.
anyways, took a while to find a transporter, and a few weeks ago found a guy on moparts from arkansas who does transporting.     well he picked up the car and delievered it to me.     im expecting my green RT/SE to arive at my door step.      uh, look what i see instead:

damn, orange house paint on a rusty old shell.     the transporter, who said he has transported so many nice cars in his life, from AAR cudas to hemi cars....had never gotten such a positive reaction to a car then this thing.     cool, i guess.     now i gotta get this orange paint off, one more thing to do.
anyways, just thought id post my story and pictues of another charger which is in the process of being saved.

Blown70

well it has to be stripped either way... At least she looked good for the trip?  I guess.

looks like you have a nice one to start with there.

few other things i just thought of,   ive found most of the charger specific trim and visiable stuff needed, such as a hood i bought from a fellow dc.com member.    there are still, some really big pieces i need, such as the grille.    the grille they put on the "general lee" is made from foam and plastic.    the car actualy looks pretty convincing, and there were some people that thought it was a real one, due to the rough shape of it.   LOL.

anyone in the area who want to lend a hand please feel free, i could use it.   ill even supply the beer and pizza :boogie:

in guessing f8 green, thats what i registered the car as on your site.
but, that is an interesting question though.   the number on the rad support matches the trunk, yet, why is it a diffrent color?   it seems like the rad support was painted at another point w/ the turquoise color because you can see over spray on the other areas around the piece.   however, it does not seem like there is any other shade of green under the turqoise, when i was trying to get to the # under all that orange paint i had to do some stripping.    ???  ???  ???

i'm glad you finally got your car, and a free paint job too.    :smilielol:

I saw the rad support but what peaked my interest was the tailpanel......is that Q5 or is it just the lighting?

Do you have the fendertag for it?
