hey guys, just looking down the air horn and working the throttle the pump jet does not seem to squirt properly,it seems as if there is some kind of slot in the top of the pump jet that the fuel seems to just overflow and it just dribbles out of the jets if you know what i  mean??the motor does however seem to run perfectly :shruggy: might this be normal??
I don't care what is is designed to do,I want to know what it can do.

It should shoot out of the two little jets into each of the primary bores.  Something isn't right.

Yes it should shoot out of the accelerator pump jets.  You can move the little rod to a different hole to make it pump more or less.  The point of the accelerator pump is that when you step on the gas you suck in a large amount of air and those Little sqirts help add fuel in fast.  Ever here "if it ain't broke don't fix it?"  If the car is running fine I would leave it be.  :yesnod:  Probably the rubber seal for the pump is faulty.  :shruggy:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

There is a gasket under the discharge nozzle and a small brass needle in the hole underneath. If either is missing you will have the condition you described.
