While squirrel hunting I came across a 4 point deer skull and thought "Gun Rack". Mounted them to my mantle and parked the old 12 gage there.

Not to usurp the mod's, but I would think that a "benign" looking carcass would be all right. If you would show it to your 6 year old then it should be fine.  :icon_smile_big: Or in my case my Disney loving 8-year old.  :P

BTW: I had a roommate years, and years, ago that was given a tenderlion of venison. It was frozen so he left it on the dining room table over night.................................well, at the time I had two young kittens,.........................when I woke up the next morning,  :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o BLOOD EVERYWHERE!!!!! THE WALLS, THE FLOOR, SOAKED THROUGH THE TABLECLOTH, PAW PRINTS OF BLOOD EVERYWHERE!!!  :o :o :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :flame: :brickwall: I was soooo mad! We found out that the "hunter" apparently didn't hang the deer properly, and that's why it bled so much!  :eek2:  :shruggy: :slap:

Oh well, the kitties had fun!  :yesnod: :rotz: :icon_smile_tongue:

I soak mine for about 5-6 days in a ice chest with water and ice all blood is gone and helps get rid of some of the wild gamey taste.

skip68
