msd system and tac

i just put the msd 6al w/distributor and wires on the 70 rr to improve things and the tac doesn't work anymore. did before. anybody got any ideas to get back working again? the msd system has made a drastic difference.  steve

hey

your tach is not compatable with the msd system . you either have to send the tach out and have it rebuilt for the ignition or install a msd tach adapter . i installed msd in my charger and it made a dramatic change in that car too . my tach works but it reads way off . there are after market tachs that are compatable with msd. Did you move the original Tach wire from the coil to the MSD box connector??
