A carpet kit for my GL.. But here's the catch. I no longer have a center console, so I want a carpet kit that'll cover the entire "hump" in the middle. I've relocated the factory shifter location, so even a 4 speed carpet won't work..

Am I out of luck, or is there a kit out there that'll work for me? It's got to be Tan to match.

Thanks

There carpets are universal, you cut where you see fit. At least that how i received mine.

Excellent! That's what I was wondering.. If this is how they come, I'm in luck:

Jeff, you had me wondering when I saw the console post up.  Where exactly is your shifter going to be.  I'm really curious.
If I do pull the trigger and get that console, I'm gonna need to figure out how I'm gonna get my ratchet shifter to work with it.  I'm going to look at it tomorrow and see how much of a pain it's going to be.  I know a member on here has done this, I just cant' remember who.

Here are some carpet possibilities.  I would call to see if they come uncut in the center

Who knows. maybe you'll get lucky and one of these suppliers will have a solid carpet that you can use.
Pretty sure the carpets come whole and you cut them.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Wow, thanks Mike!!

I'll dig up a picture of my new shifter. Keep in mind it's in place in the picture but not 100% "installed" yet. It is NOW, but there are still no seats in my car.

jb666

Ok, here it is. It's 100% installed now and the cable is barely visible, especially with the seats in place. It's a VERY solid shifter.

That does look like it's ready for war.   :yesnod:
You have the same exact gauges in the same exact place I do.  I never did mount the temp gauge though
Cool.

Thanks! It's in the perfect place and is VERY comfortable where the seat's mounted. Almost in a position where factory should have been.. (for me, anyways). And I HAD to hook those gauges up since none of my "rebuilt" gauges worked.
