Taking Heads To The Machine Shop What Should I have Done?

I'm taking my heads to the machine shop to be reconditioned.  I plan on having them magnafluxed, bronze valve guides installed, hardened exhaust seats and the seats reground.  Do I need to ask for anything else?  Do I need to take my new valves for any reason?  I plan on doing the reassembly myself.  Sorry for the stupid questions but this is my first go at something like this.

Probably not.  I'm basically doing a stock rebuild on my 383.

3 angle valve grind, port match ...

you need to take the new valaves to have the guides sized correctly
make sure the guides are trimmed for enough clearance for the cam lift & have th eheads surfaced to make Sure they are flat

I'm just using a stock magnum grind cam.  I would hope that they trim the guides enough to clear that lift.  What do I need for them to do a port match?

Well, now that you mention it, I've had trouble sometimes getting gaskets too.  Must be the stranglehold those guys at Kelly's Engines had around here huh?

Do I take the valley pan or just the intake and eshaust gaskets?

Exhaust and valley pan.  Throw the paper intakes in the trash.
