Alternator Wire's

Ok,

Tomorrow is the big day, a two year project will get some fuel and fir and start for the first time. I'm finishing up the wiring and have a question on the alternator.

I have 3 wires,, one hot that is obviously the batt and two others. Heres the problem, they were not marked by the previous dismantler so I don't know which goes where. One of them gets power when the key is turned on and the other doesn't. Any help would be appreciated.
