I was outside washing my truck in the front yard and kept hearing a loud engine firing up. Decided to take a walk down the street and the owner was prepping for a drag race event. He said it's a sub 10-second car.

I didn't press to get better photos.

I live south of Auburn but I haven't heard of Higgins corner.

Per my USGS map, it's an unincorporated community north of Auburn. I try to list the "communities" (per the map) where the photos are taken to give more obscure California locations.

We were on our way back from Malakoff Diggins State Park. Lots of interesting mining history in this region!
