Yeah, that guy's work is phenomenal!

They did a show on 'Rides' all about him.

Freakin' amazing talent.

Holy shit! Holy shit! I know that guy! (Andy)

He used to live a couple of blocks away from my house. I met him one time when I was driving home from work and his Lime green 73 Charger had died on him. I gave him a ride home and found out he also had a '68 he was restoring. he sold the 73 about a year ago. The last time I went by his house  he had moved and I lost contact with him. I'm gonna hit up the local cruise-in and maybe i'll run into someone that knows him.

Here are a couple of pics of his former 73

The guy that does those flames on the Magnum is incredible, I have seen about 20 cars he has done
and he lives 20min away, To bad I don't have a car that I would flame, like I could afford his work  :o

Here is one of his flame jobs.

No offense to anyone but I thought the show was for classics? Why are they screwing around with an '05 anything? It seems like that car would be better suited for Pimp My Ride. ;) Anyway, those flame jobs are awesome. I haven't seen that many but it's amazing how real it looks.

BTW, I love those fat wheels and tires on the back of that '73.

A couple of questions Ponch:

Is he aware he put the RF tire on the RR?

In the second photo, is the guy to the left of the car dancing?

What is the kid standing in front of the car doing with his pants?  It looks like he has to take a leak!

bull

I couldn't get past the mullet to see if he was dancing or not.

I don't know. I think the magnum is a pretty cool car in it's own rights. (mainly because it has it's own name and didn't prostitute anything classic.)
I'd hate to see it on pimp my ride because they would totally ruin it. (another form of prostitution)   I think the overhaulin crew did a pretty nice job for a new car.

Ya. I was more than a bit surprised when I saw *what* they were going to overhaul, but they did say they wanted folks to remember anything is fair game for them. Seemed like it might have been a less taxing job than others, but I do like what they did

... except those door handles. Maybe different if they completely shaved them, but you could see the outline of where the handles once were.

...as for the RR. Beautiful...except, not crazy over the profile of the tires...

-I don't know. never noticed that about the tire - that picture is about 2 years old though.

-Looks like he is gracefully changing direction. That guy was cool - he was also a buddy of Andy.

- Beats me.   :icon_smile_tongue:

that guy sells a kit that has a video and templates so you could do the flames your self. my friend with the AMC thought it would be cool to flame his matador. the flames look cool but the key word is matador.
