Performance Car Graphics' catalog says a set of 4 will do one car, and that could be right.  I was with tantop thinking there was six though.

:scratchchin: When I was under the Bob Malcomes survivor daytona this summer,  I thought there was more than 6 actually.

A picture from my car...  I think I remember finding one or more of the clips still on the K-frame itself, in the same place where they are in that picture of Tim Wellborn's car.  I'll try and see if I have a picture of the K-frame before they took everything apart.

*edit*  Even though I left my car up on a lift for a couple of weeks so that Steve Been could stop by and take a look at it, I apparently neglected to take a single picture of the undercarriage.  No K-frame pics...

Thanks, Danny!  Incidentally, are you closer to getting that project wrapped up?

The only shield that I know about is the one shown in the pictures tantop posted of Tim Wellborn's 99 (Omaha Orange paint code) Daytona.  It isn't made from plastic though, it's made of a very stiff fiber-reinforced rubber.

Those things do get in the way of getting the oil filter out on Power Steering equipped cars - or at least I haven't found a good way to get the filter out without snaking it through the K-frame on my R/T.  Also, if you didn't stuff a rag down below the filter to soak up the oil that trickled out when the filter was removed, the oil tended to soak into the rubber and ruin it.  For those two reasons, most original K-frame seals didn't survive too long on the cars, and few of those were saved from the trash can by the owners.
