I spent the last hour reading topics to see if this auction had been mentioned. I was curious what
you guys thought of the price it reached, the car, and anything else.

Looking at the VIN in google I see it went to $40k in ebay in 2004. Curiously with just 100 less miles
on the odo!

i actually started digging because i followed a nice charger r/t the other day. Plates were EE 68 RT which
I now know refers to the color code & the year. It sure attracts a lot of attention on the road.. was wondering
how much mint versions are still attracting (in this economy).

Welcome! There are a few mopar nuts in the nyc area, so you're not alone.(going by your s/n) I know that car is rare, but anyone else think they should have let it go for 70k? That reserve or buy it now of 129k seems harsh.
I'd rather die than go to heaven.

129K is to high for a V code car...I would have been happy at 70k. It's a nice car IF it is a true matching numbers car. anything over 100K is Hemi territory IMHO. I don't think there is a whole lot of money looking for muscle cars right now so the prices are soft for sure. With B-J coming up it will be interesting to see where to market is with regards to pricing. I'm betting a 20-40 percent drop depending on vehicle and documentation. Intersting car none the less. Curious that it isn't an N96 car.

I was talking to a guy I know last month and he said he bought that car for $68,000 or something (you guys should remember that thread) but then it re-appeared on Ebay. I don't know what the heck to believe.... :scratchchin:

barrett jackson is on record in some publications saying clone market is toast and only well documented original cars expected to bring any value...personally...i expect at least a 40% drop sans the super rare stuff..hopefully a class 3 driver is priced accordingly as a driver

I'm actually in sydney which is where I saw the nice charger. Obviously they are
extremely rare here although there are local chargers from the same era!

I dropped a note to the ebay guy and got a brief remark back that he is still
looking for 135. Well, good luck with all that!

Yea...I knew the market had topped with clones going for big bucks. Well documented quality, multicarb\limited production cars will still command the big bucks, but even they will take a hit. I couldn't give a rats butt because the cars I own I've had for a very long time and won't be up for sale until I'm gone....so prices have always been an idle curiosity for me. I hope it doesn't turn off the repop market. They finally got around to making some very nice parts....

OK, is the Charger supposed to be worth more because of the other cars in the garage?

Car posers are so cool. NOT.

I would have taken the $70k & smiled. This guy must not watch the news or follow the American economy. Must be a CEO with a money tree in the back yard.

I'd be interested in it if there were a few more pictures.  :ohhthesarcasm:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
