A year ago I started up AmericanDreamrides, renting out Mopars for weddings and other special occasions to be able to finance
my hobby of restoring or working with Mopars. I invested a lot, both in cars, parts and also promotion but I can only say that the
Belgians prefer Limo's, Hummers, RollsRoyce and very old europen cars for their ceremonies. In Sweden, where I come from, it's a hit
with US musclecars. Out of the 4 I have 2 has to go and the Chrysler 300 is already for sale for some time. The question is which one of the
GTX and the Chally I should keep, there is where I need your opinion. What's the best long term choice?

The GTX: 1969 440 N96 airgrabber, original colour B5 black top. Almost everything new, certified by Galen. Engine is correct year but not matching.
Needs detailing on the underside to be really good. Columshifter with buddy seat.

The Chally: 1970 non matching 318/904, original plum crazy, black interior and WHITE top. Nice driver but needs a lot to be "perfect".
Was planning to  make a 426 Hemi R/T clone out of it. Much easier to sell then the GTX, very popular in Europe.

My heart would keep the Chally and build my dreamchally after the chargerproject but my brains tells me to keep the GTX,
what's your opinion?

too me no biggie , keep the GTX   :yesnod:

Any special reason? :scratchchin:

well i like Challengers also  :yesnod:  , but not a great fan of convertables  :scratchchin: ...would just keep the GTX as  that's what it is a GTX ...  the challenger is a base 318 car  :scratchchin: , but having said that now & re reading that your going to stuff a Hemi in it  :scratchchin: hmmm , but i would keep the car that's most original , nothing to say there is anything wrong , in making a clone or building a car how you want , just my own preference :yesnod: ..good luck in what ever you decide to do  :2thumbs:

TeeWJay426

You must sell the GTX..... to me!!! Had a black 4 speed ragtop back in the day, and was the one I kick myself the most for getting rid of.
74 Charger SE, 400 HP, 4-speed

Sublime/Sixpack

Of the two, the way they are right now, I'd keep the B-body, sell the Challenger.  :Twocents:
1970 Sublime R/T, 440 Six Pack, Four speed, Super Track Pak

Mean 318

IMO keep the GTX, its done, you dont have to put a bunch more money into that one! But you got to do whats right for you!

Brock Samson

:scratchchin:   Wow, that is a hard choice,..   :shruggy:on paper i like the GeeTex it's all there togeather a convert in a great color,..  :D
but that Chally  :drool5: sure looks sweet in the Plum and it's a Convert, with a HP block it's one of the best lookin cars, even if the trunk and back seat door panels and wobbeling windows can't match the B-bods for stoutness...
I would flip a coin and if the way it falls didn't match the true feelings of my heart I'd know it...
Good luck, and think of this - a lot of folks have alot worse choices they have to make...  :-\

500hp_440

My opion keep the GTX its faster, nicer and I bet rents out more. Id rather drive that for a wedding then the other one. :shruggy:
(the easiest one to sell is almost always the nicest)
Let it alone^.

Ghoste

GTX.  If you're selling because you have to, why keep the car that will need more money in the long run and be worth less when done?

Belgium R/T -68

I'm afraid the risk is I have to sell the Challenger because it' easier to sell. To get the real money for the GTX the right buyer has to be there
in times like these and I can't afford to dump the price. Coming back to my hobby, beeing working with the cars, if I sell the chally and the
Charger is done I don't have any work anymoore. :brickwall:

TeeWJay426, I would love selling a car back to US. :2thumbs:

FLG

I say keep the GTX. It probably gets rented more and is alot "nicer" car in terms of it being finished. Though the chally its nice, the engine makes it much less desirable. Sell the chally since you could easily, wait awhile and buy another one to turn into a clone.

500hp_440

Or heres how to really do it since you cant decide, put both up forsale at a firm price you want, sell one and cancel the ads for the other, let the buyer choose :shruggy:
Let it alone^.

Well, like I said, selling the chally would be a piece of cake. Overhere Chargers and Challengers goes like butter in the sun.
I sold one last year, same colour with BB, could have sold 10 of them, people never stopped calling.

For me there is no decision. It's B5 blue , a 1969 AND the top goes down. It doesnt get any better than that. But i'm maybe just a little bit biased.

firefighter3931

Keep the GTX and Charger....easy decision.  ;)

The Chally will bring more money in your market and be easier to sell "as is"  :yesnod:

Keep the Charger and the GTX IMO. But Hey It really needs to be you're decision. :Twocents:
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Ah I already knew the answer that Bill was going to chime in with.

Personally I say keep the GTX. B bodies are the king of the hill to me. E bodies, I could care less about. E bodies are a dime a dozen to me personally. Every B body sticks out to me. Behind the aero cars the GTX is right there at the top of the list of cars that are interesting. People who know me know I love 500's and Daytona's and Superbirds. But Bill will attest that I even took some time to check out a B5 blue GTX in a private collection when I had the chance to see a VERY VERY NEAT Charger 500. See I'm not all about the aero cars just mostly.

Belgium R/T -68

I will put all on sale (except the charger ofcourse) because I need to get rid of 2. Hopefully the GTX stays and when i have some
money over in the future I can always buy a projectchally and build my Hemiclone.
