1st one is an F6 green 1969 superbee 383 4spd . When someone tried to move it forward they ripped it in half

Just to put it in persepctive, when this barracuda was put there, the tree wasn't there at all. As the tree grows, the decklid opens even more


Yellow 1973 Dart Sport 340 . The tree shot came up threw the center hole of the wheel with it's original E70 polyglas still on it and contoured itself to the shape of the wirewall , including the wiper motor




This WAS a real white with black int AAR cuda, someone removed the VIN #'s years ago

Ok, maybe just a few more. These were taken earlier this past fall on a previous visit. Place is maybe 5 minutes from my house.
Most of these cars have been sitting in there respective place for over 20 years, some (most of them ) longer than that. And before anyone asks, every single one can be bought. But I seriously doubt any could be save with reasonable costs.

Looks like those cars are toast. To bad.  I believe that that Dart Sport could be a 340 or 360 car depending on the year. It has the hood stripes and a high impact color. Sad.  And the white 70 Coronet convert.  AHHHHH!!!!!   WHY CAR GODS?  WHYYYY? Makes me sad. Let me guess, not for sale? Good pics though. thanks for sharing.

It has the wrong hood for an R/T. I would say it is a 500 though. I don't think they made 440 converts . I know of a few nice cars rotting in the junk yards. Not near that rusty though.  I know of a 69 GTO convert rotting away. And a 66 Shelby.

I parked them when I was done with them for one reason or the other, 70 coronet spun a timing chain so I used parts to get a 70 superBee up and running , 70 charger never did run right when I bought it so it was parted out. 69 road runner was just simply parked to the side to work on another car and over time bits and pieces dis-appeared. The most I paid for any of the above was $250 and that was the running + driving 69 roadrunner 383 4 speed .
It was cheaper at the time to just buy another driver, as most anything could be bought for less than $1,000.00 .  This was at a time when I bought a 1969 Hemi roadrunner with the drivetrain, 1970 Hemi roadrunner - body only, 1970 6pack Roadrunner running and driveing matching numbers car , 440 Daytona less drivetrain, AND a 6 pack Superbird in pieces, all in a span of about 18 months,,,,and less than $15,000.00 for them all. And ALL of them are gone now.

Most of these shown have been parked since at least the mid 80's

The definition of a salvageable car or part gets looser every year. I can't believe sometimes what efforts people go through to bring rust heaps back to life these days. Though everything may look hopeless now, if I owned this field of cars I would at least take the time to prop them up on some old rims and tires and get them out of the weeds. Save as much car or parts as possible.

You'll have to trust me on this. I'd be willing to wager less than 1% of these cars are salvageable. Most of these cars have been there on average 20 to 25 years,,, most are more than that.  A time when a running driving hemi E-body was under $10,000 .
I remember buying a 1969 road runner 383 4spd with Air for the princely sum of $150 . We drove it home, drove it around for a few weeks. Then along comes someone needed the radiator, someone else needed a clean fender, another the bench seat, and so on , and so on. We just went out and bought another one , then another one, etc,etc.. About every car there has been picked over pretty good so another Mopar can live another day. And keep mind there are probably over 200 cars in there. So going thru and jacking all of them up isn't feasable. Even the ones that were on tires have sunk down when the tires dry rot or just go flat , or the earth pulls a bit harder at them to return.

About 1980 or 81 I paid $1300.00 for my 1970 440+6 Road Runner. And drove it home. Black on black hardtop 4 speed 4.10 Dana supertrack car. I Beat the snot out of that car, about 6 months later I scattered the numbers engine, we  pulled it and boxed it up in the basement , then put another one in it from some New Yorker and beat on it until it went, then repeat. After about 4 years I sold it for $1500.00 ,,,, less the numbers engine ( new owner didn't want or need it, he wanted a daily driver for work )

About the same time I bought a 1969 Daytona - original orange black interior 440 console auto. Less nosecone and less engine or trans . So, I got to looking around and found Kenny Bracket in Bat Cave North Carolina had an nos nosecone for sale. So, me and a buddy hopped in my dads truck and took off, We drove all night straight down and back . I paid more for the nose than I did for the car and the nose was about $1000, I don't remember exactly how much now, that was a long time ago.
Last I heard the car went to Gene Gregory in exchange for 2 Daytona and 1 Bird nose. I have no idea where it's at today
