I thought the only challenger that came with a 340 6 pack was the T/A challenger in 1970.  I am no expert though so I could be wrong.

No '70 R/T smallblocks

The 340 6PAK is for the Trans Am cars only   (Challenger T/A and AAR 'CUDA) AAR engine is called the 340 six Barrel

Those 340s have a special block, special heads and of course the 6PAK intake.

No other Mopars besides the Trans Am cars ever came with triple carb 340

Didn't they come with special exhaust manifolds as well?

Ahhh I do not recall any factory 383 6pks either?  I could be wrong.

tipopiola

As stated, they only made 340 6-barrels for the the T/A and the AAR's.The only other 6-barrel was the 440 6-barrel.  Tell your friend to go buy a camaro.  Tipopiola :icon_smile_big:

The only way to get a 340-6 was in a T/A or AAR

you can set up a 383 6pk but I don't believe they came that way 340 and 440 only.

This is funny because I DID put the RT stripe on mine, just to have fun with a ONE-of-NONE!   Very few people catch that its a 70 with a 340 and RT stripes, I even had it at Mopars at the Strip last year in the show field.

Of course, the motor isnt exactly stock or even look like it...

i put the R/T stripe on my 68 Charger but no badges, I just really like the looks of the stripe, and it's mine so it amazes me when people come up to me at shows and ask," do you know this is not a real R/T?"  No I had no Idea ::) :yesnod:
