We've had the most snow on record for December and record breaking cold here in Eastern Washington.  I live out in the sticks and have a driveway that's about a half mile long.  Thought I'd share some Christmas morning pictures before I begin today's plowing and blowing.  There's a heavy snow warning out for tomorrow night again.  Merry Christmas everybody.  Bob

Wow,.. a driveway a half mile long?! Is it straight and paved?.. I'm imagining all the track testing you could do on it...  :scratchchin:
As regards the snowfall,.. i hope you have a good amount of supplies to get ya' through,.. I'm sure a sleigh is standard issue up yonder where you and Mrs. Santa reside...

More pictures.

Three more-- Brock, yes we've got enough provisions to stay here for many weeks if need be, along with a back-up generator.  Driveway is steep, curvy and gravel.  Not Charger friendly at all.  Bob

Not quite that bad here on Washington state but we do have about 1 foot at my place right now and got a pretty good 1-2 inches this morning of that special Chistmas snow. Build a snowman with it with my daughter.

It was 84* here on the sand pile today..  I was thinking back to a Christmas that I spent most of PLOWING...  Yes, hurricanes are scarey, but very short lived. Winter is very long in the North. Just right in the South....   :2thumbs:

Stay bundled folks...

Oh by the way. I have seen 3 old mopars and a bunch of old Chevies and Fords lately.. I sure am glad the nice weather has arrived....

Not the same amount of white stuff on the other end but it won't go away.  Longest cold streak in half a century.  Just when we thought the warming temperatures were finally gonna start melting it away we get 2-4" more this morning.  We stayed home for Christmas for the first time.
My wife thinks I'm some kind of God for taking her to work all week.

Cool pictures, we never get anything like that here in Denmark.. Can't even remember the last white christmas we had, but I think we have to go back at least 10-15 years.. It really blows, since I'm a sucker for at good 'ol white christmas (for the kids of course :coolgleamA: )

Been plowing snow quite a bit for the last 2 weeks. But the last couple of days it warmed up and has been raining.

Real wet and sloppy. Finally warmed up and I can see the gravel on my driveway.
Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

I work for Snohomish County public works and we have been on emergency duty for over 2 weeks. I was on a 12 hour shift, 2am to 2pm. Sundays and Christmas too. The weather finally broke and yesterday the emergency was called off. I am physically and mentally exhasted and today I pulled the trigger on a sick day, Is that ok?

Well, it snowed about another 10" since those pictures were posted.  Then it warmed up and made a slushy mess of everything.  Now it's snowing and cold again with 6" to 10" expected in our area.  The extended forcast shows more of the same for at least the next 10 days.  The PTO belt for the blower on the tractor broke and Spokane was sold out.  I ordered two more, but it will be another week before they arrive.  So, I'm using the plow on the old M37, but I'm running out of places to put the snow and the driveway is now only as wide as the plow.  Last winter was also a record breaker, so I didn't expect this one (which is turning out to be worse) on top of it.  I really don't care if I ever see another snow flake at this point.  Damn global warming. :brickwall: :brickwall:  Bob

Bob do you have couple snowmobiles to play around on while you have the snow?   :2thumbs:

Well, another foot fell today.  The plow is not cutting it anymore, I have to get the big blower working again to try and eat up some of the berms.  I finally found a belt that will work that I can pick up tomorrow at the Deer Park NAPA.  They've got two of them on will call for me.  Now the trick will be to get the Ram down the driveway in one piece (me too) to go get the belts.  The driveway is more or less a 1/2 mile luge run now.  I've lived here since '92 and never seen it this bad.  The M37 with all four chained up is slipping and sliding like never before.  After the short thaw yesterday, it now has about 3" of solid ice under the snow.  I've got chains for the the Ram and will probably use them tomorrow for the first time ever.  I will have to apologize to the wife for giving her a hard time for keeping so much frozen food on hand.  It comes in quite handy now as well as my stockpile of scotch.  Pray for me. :icon_smile_big:  Bob

No, but I'm starting to think along those lines.  Not so much for fun as just being able to go get my mail and paper every morning.  Bob
