Did anyone else happen to see the jump last night? Granted the up ramp was about 1/2 the height of the column that he landed on but, WOW :o 100 and some odd feet!! Don't know about you, but my stomach (after a couple of beers) was doin flip-flops just watchin! THEN juming back DOWN,  :o :o WOW!! I'd bet he fell 60' before even touching the "down" ramp.  I'm sure we'll be hearing more of him in the future. GET THIS GUY A BEER!!  Just wow.

A little/lot of both is what that takes, IMO.

I just watched it about 5 minutes ago.  Thought the first part was enough, then I saw him looking to go back down.  Holy Crapola!!!
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Check out Rhys Millen's second backflip attempt.  He didn't hurt himself like last year, but it still wasn't a completed flip.

Millen is a big-time name in the drifting world.  He was also the wheelman for the General Lee in the 2005 Dukes movie.  (Remember that epic drift around the traffic circle?)

This backflip stunt is becoming cursed for him.  He's actually landed it right a bunch of times in practice already, but now he's 0-for-2 at trying to do it in a public New Year's Eve event.

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I watched it. That was awesome. I was watching and listening while my wife sat here doing a puzzle. After he made the jump up my wife said "Cool. Now all he has to do is wait for the ride down". I asked her what ride down? He's going to jump back down. That's why the second ramp is there. Her jaw hit the floor as she said "NO WAY!!!" About that time he started towards the edge and drove right off. :o I saw he was long the minute he left. Showed how good he is on a bike when he saved the landing and stayed upright.

VERY COOL!!!

Wanna hear something really messed up?  My brother told me that he was watching the motorbike thing on tv, and the pre-jump FOX coverage was literally showing complicated animatics of the various ways he could go wrong and crash.

It brings to mind the immortal words of Happy Gilmore: "You're pretty sick, Chubbs."
