Holy geezus!  I have been trying not to watch any of those videos all day long but my curiosity got the best of me.  I effin' can't stand Celine Dion with a passion that rivals no other.  She is absolutely one of the worst entertainers i've ever seen or heard. She's not even decent to look at , so she's got the double whammy going.

That Celine video is quite simply the holocaust of cover songs (my apologies to those of Jewish decent, but it really is comparable at that level). A saw it shortly after the original airing, and I still feel ill thinking about it how every single note was inhumanely tortured to unfathomable depths. DO NOT WATCH THAT VIDEO IF CHERISH YOUR ROCK&ROLL SOUL ! It will damage you forever.

The Hayseed Dixie version is good because those guys aren't dumb enough to think they can do the song justice like most of the rest of them. It's like the difference between a cheesy movie that takes itself too serious (like Battlefield Earth) and a cheesy movie that's making fun of itself (like Army of Darkness). One is annoying, the other is funny and entertaining.

As far as Shania? Well, you can tell she's not trying to win a Grammy. She's just having some fun too.

How Mutt Lange allowed it?  If I were hooked up with her, I tend to think she'd be able to "coax" my jaded star rock producer senses into whatever she wanted with ease.  Hell, he likely just saw her stepping out of the shower or something and it was his idea!  "Hey Shania, I just had this brilliant thought!  You sing one of those AC/DC songs that all the strippers like so much and let that towel hit the floor  ".
