1948 Dodge Low-Side?

Just bought a truck off of Craigslist locally.  The guy said it was a "low side" pickup.  Haven't been able to find anything on these, did they even exist?  I think it looks better than the other bed that Dodge put on these trucks at the time.  Paid $300 for the truck and it is pretty straight, with a little bit of rust on the back of the cab.  The bed looks to be original, almost like this truck had a leftover '47 bed. Early production??  If anyone has information on these, it would be greatly appreciated.

Never heard of a low side, but I know guys will put these old Dodge truck bodies onto Dodge Dakota frames! :coolgleamA: :coolgleamA: :coolgleamA: :coolgleamA:
