We've watched all the seasons of Columbo, seen a 69 Charger a couple times, one was an R/T, a 68 Charger in full view, drove across the shot (had mismatched wheels) and in one episode Columbo sat in a 71 Challenger convertible that was black with white R/T stripes.

Ghoste

BTW Timinator, how are you grabbing those shots?

timinator

I've spotted lots of other cool cars too but the 2nd gen Charger shape always catches my eye even if it's just a split second shot. I have a DVR that records the show and then I burn it onto a DVD. I put the DVD in my computer and can capture a screen shot from that.

Wow, you've done a good job of spotting them Chargers.

Ever watch the old Manix series?  They used lots of Mopars.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Yes the original, sorry I wasn't too clear there was I?  And it would be more accurate to say there was a 3rd gen getting more than a background scene moment.

Blade_1

Your set-top DVR's can transfer the vid's directly to your computer, and then with some native Windows apps, or even some 3rd party apps, you can playback frame x frame, without burnin' a disc...

Might need a screwdriver ;) to do the transfer, if your DVR doesn't have a live port on back.

Bremer

It was not an old show but, the Barenaked Ladies used a 68' General Lee for thier "One Week" video.

Daytona R/T SE

In the Nicholas Cage version of "Gone in 60 seconds" In the scene where he's running from the cops in the prettied-up Falcon-errr-I'm sorry- Mustang,he passes a 71 Charger several times...

Here's a blue 2nd gen from the original Vanishing Point. Right after he picked up the Challenger he drove by a used car dealership.

69_500

If I'm not mistaken there is a Green Charger 500 in the dealership window of the movie the Vanishing Point as well.

In the original "Gone" the Green car you see really early in the chase is the same one you see with the black panels, look at the wheels.

They just painted the flat black stuff for the garbage stunt.

timinator

A Charger BEHIND a police car? That's a first!

timinator

Ok, it's not a real car, but I thought this was clever. There's a model train program on a local channel and I caught this flipping thru channels. Somebody made a train set with a yellow Charger at a railroad crossing. A coincidence or an obvious reference to Dirty Mary Crazy Larry? It's a Daytona but I'm sure we have a closet Charger fan! I thought it was kind of funny.
