Crank pulley hole spacing question

There is one hole that does not line up with the damper on my crank pulley.  I am going to slot the one hole to fit but was wondering why.  Is this just a case of different year parts?  Anybody else have this issue?  This is on a 440, I believe it is a 72 casting.  Thanks!

Thanks, I will have to check it out when I get home from work.  I don't have full internet access here, I do get dc.com though  :2thumbs:

Did you receive my last email?  I have been having a bunch of problems with people not receiving my emails lately.....

Yes, the earlier pullies had a slightly different bolt pattern. I had to slot one of the holes on my pulley to make it fit with the aftermarket dampner.   ;)
