68 CHARGER R/T

well it's basically the third time i heard this in my life from another person, that they produced a 69 roadrunner with a 383 six pack which i don't ever recall hearing chrysler produced. these people told me they owned these cars back in the day.and they were all canadian cars.  :shruggy:

nope not a 383 sixpack  from the factory   .....   although  a aftermarket  six pack inlet manifold has been out for a good few years now  for the B series motor .

thats kinda like the 440 hemis and hemi six packs they never made them but alot of people claim to have owned one.

Rolling_Thunder

in 69.5 there was a 440 six pack option - never a production 383 six pack engine
1968 Dodge Charger - 6.1L Hemi / 6-speed / 3.55 Sure Grip

2013 Dodge Challenger R/T - 5.7L Hemi / 6-speed / 3.73 Limited Slip

1964 Dodge Polara 500 - 440 / 4-speed / 3.91 Sure Grip

1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye - 340 / A-518 / 3.23 Sure Grip

Not even here in Canada!  (in spite of the number of times I've been told the same thing too)

sounds like the blonde brunette that had red hair you always hear about.

Sounds like the Canadian Hemi 318's I have heard of. :rotz:

That one may be based in partial fact but you could get them in the US as well.  I'm thinking that one is derived from the 318 Polysphere V-8's that preceded tha LA engines.

Yeah, people may think Poly is incorrect for HEMI. The poly's were inefficient and heavy. Good thing the wedge heads came along. ;)

It was meant to be a cheap alternative to the Hemi allowing some of the combustion chamber benefits of the Hemi and the manufacturing cost benefits of the wedge.  I wouldn't dismiss it so offhand, I don't think it was ever given a chance (and the development dollars) to really prove itself.  One of those what if stories.
