I love your Daytona. I saw the Spring Fling pictures on Moparts and automatically started :drool5:. Hope to see you guys at Spring Fling sometime with my '69 when I finish it. Are there any rules or anything regarding the event? By the way....C5X rules!!!! :2thumbs:

Is your car T5 with the C5X interior?   If so that is the first time I have seen the Cloth interior and anything else other than a red car.  On the Spring Fling you can bring anything.  Great show.  Where are you located?   I never looked at Moparts.  I will have to check it out.
Caution.... Low flying aircraft.

Do you know Gary Kaey or Gordon (not sure of last name?)  They are in Surrey and Langley.  I was at their homes about 5 years ago in the in the Daytona.  Gary is going to be out this was in his 6barrel bird next month..

My daytona was an original column shift too but no center seat.  Just carpet.  The only automatic 69 Charger I have ever seen with nothing in the middle.
Caution.... Low flying aircraft.

Don't know Gary but does Gordon have a B5 '69 C500 SE, a Plum Crazy '70 R/T and a few other Mopes?

Yep that is Gord.   I was at his house when he just got the 70 Purple R/T and just finished the 69 500.  The 70 R/T was in that huge barn with a boat load of cars.  He had 2 61 Chrysler convertibles in the front garage next to that diner he has.  Very cool guy.  He makes it down to the Spring Fling every now and then.  When they let him in the states that is..  Look up Gary Kaey.  Great guy too.  Has a great stash of Mopars.  His bird is a B5 6bbl 4 speed car that is his driver.

Hay Doug, The guy my dad sold the car too put the console in it back in the early 90s.  I have the column to put back in it but just can't do it.  Looks and works so good.   I had not seen another Daytona automatic with nothing on the floor at all.  That is cool to me.

Definitely different, and quite rare based on what I've seen as well.  As mentioned, there are more than a few column-shifted automatics, but the vast majority have C21 buddy's in them.
