68 "H" code dual snorkel or unsilenced breather

My car has an H code 383 motor and has an unsilenced breather. I have some specifications out of a magazine that say the 4 BBL 383 came with a dual snorkel and the R/T 440 came with the unsilenced breather. Would it be possible for my car to have come from the factory with an unsilenced breather?

I have a buddy that has a 69 43K mile survivor with the same motor and it has an unsilenced breather. You can look at and tell it is very old so I am assuming it came from the factory with that breather. With this in mind I thought mine could have come the same way until I read this article. Any information is helpful.

Great thread....I guess my car came with a dual snorkel silenced breather with the "383 4 Barrel" on the pie tin.
