Anyone know where you can get new "felt"? For a lack of a better name... This is the rear channel for the rear window on my '68 Charger R/T..

Try page 19.  They are real easy to deal with ship fast.  You should go ahead and get the glass setting tape on page 32 while you are at it.

Wow, that's a great place... I'm assuming the setting tape is used in where the glass sets into the wing-window channel?

Cheers,

That's correct.  I haven't used mine yet, but I believe Shakey has a post on here about the sizes.

Not what he needs.....those are the window "fuzzies" that mount at the top of the door.
he needs the felts that mount in the chrome channel attached to the glass...

Chris...
Do they make the proper one for the 2nd generation Chargers yet? Unless they have, the ones they sell are the same for the other B-bodies and as you know, those are incorrect for they do not have the lip that wraps up and over the upper door bolster....

DO you know if they make all the slider-felt for the channels inside the door? Might as well replace all that as well... I did see where the original lining/felt has two rivets that hold it in place....

Troy,

Ive always found good used rear channels,so I dont know if the felt is repoped ......Sorry.  :brickwall: I do know that you can get the seal-sliders for where the glass slides in the vent window frame.

You may check at a glass shop for the material to redo the channels.  :scratchchin:

Shakey

Restoration Specialties is a really decent company to deal with and they have tons of stuff!

There are some details on the window channel felt install in this thread as well as the felt that attaches to the SS strip on the rear of the door glass.  You can also read about under dash jute and door latches as well.

The glass setting tape is used to re-attach the SS strip on the rear of the door glass.  The plastic / felt that is used on the front part of the door glass that slides in the vent window channel is held in place with plastic clips.

See the Interior Assembly thread mention above.

Unfortunately, this thread hasn't been updated for quite some time.
