i hate ice rant

god i hate ice, id rather have 3 ft of snow then 1/4 inch of ice, i managed to re-injure my knee yesterday morning, slipped on the ice and twisted my knee and drove it full force into the concrete, now doc says i may be looking at another surgery, waiting on MRI results. im usually not superstitious but man ive hit a run of bad luck physically this year, im only 22 and im already wishing i was 17 again

I went down last year like that walking into work except feet went out in front of me and I went straight down on my back. That felt real nice for about a week and 1/2 after that.

and I was 42 when that happened. Imagine that.

It's a b*tch.  A bad slip can mess up a 17yo plenty of times too. 



Knee injuries just suck.  Once they're fouled up there's just not much that medical science can do to fix them very well.  I've read that arthroscopic knee surgeries are coming under fire for being less effective on average than previously believed.


I have a cousin who broke his left leg in an accident.  He was a big heavy guy to begin with, and then he couldn't exercise for a year because of the injury so he got even heavier.  The end result was his right knee was pretty bad just by the time he healed up from the original injury, because he had to put most of his weight on it for a year.  Now he's basically ended up with two wrecked knees from the original injury on the left one.

yeah, i only have a 7 percent chance of it being fixed the first time most have to have another surgery with in 3-7 years after the first and almost all people end up messing up the other knee. and my doc works for the bengals and colts so he aint no quack just out of med school

Yeah that sucks. I remember last year when you had a bad deal happen and your girl posted on here for you. Hope it all turns out ok.

oh that was just back in july, thats when i hurt it the first time and spent time in the hospital after suffering a concussion
