Technically it's a plaque, but here's what I won back in 1986 for the longest distance traveled to the show.

I drove to the Western PA border with my girlfriend back then, who's now my wife, for a long weekend. When I called about show info, the person talked me into entering my car in the show. I said the car isn't anything special with a duct tape top & a primer paint job, but I went along with it anyway. We stayed nearby at a motel in West Virginia & had a great weekend. The show was for MMCI (Mopar Muscle Club International) which I belonged to in the early 80's. I like this award, it reminds me of a time when I had no responsibilities, no house, no kid, no money, & a job I could quit if I just felt like it.

Here's the plaque sitting right next to my 3 Stooges plate & my autographed photo of Les Paul who I met at a music store in New Jersey.

Here's a few cars that were also at the show.

Great pics OM! Do you have any more of that Daytona? That could very well be my buddies Daytona before he bought it. He bought it from a guy near the Lebanon (I think) area right around 86/87. The car has dual mirrors, cruise control and power windows in case any of that rings a bell.

Shakey

Very cool stuff OM.

I like the car show photos as well as the Les Paul photo and the stooge plate (it looks like Curly is wearing a NASCAR driving suit).

It looks like you used the plaque as a coaster or as a coke plate  :shruggy:  :D

Makes you wonder how many of those cars are still around and what kind of shape they are in now.

Wouldnt that be something if it was his car?   Looks like it with the dual mirrors.  Looks more R4 red than his V2

Chris, I scanned these pics, so I'll have to look to see if there's any more of the Daytona, but I seriously doubt it. If there were, I probably would have scanned them to post. I couldn't tell you any more about the car than what you see in the pic, it's been 20 years.   :o

Coaster? No way, I never had furniture nice enough to use coasters. Coke plate? Nah, Coke is better in the small, 7 ounce bottles that you need a bottle opener for, forget plastic twist offs & cans. Besides, there was a Pink Floyd mirror on the wall if it was needed. The scratches & scuffs are probably from being in a box when I moved.

The only ones I am aware of that are still around, are the 1955 Chrysler Falcon convertible, & my own '69 Satellite convertible. The Falcon was designed to compete with the T-Bird & the Corvette, but never built except for the concept car. Which by the way, smokes the T-Bird & the Vette in the looks department. It's an awesome looking car that should have been sold. It had a 392 Hemi in it when I saw it in '86 & I saw it again within the last few years at a major show.

Here's some info on it saying it had a different motor originally:
