A cop ended up sneaking through the backstage area and shot and killed the shooter.

He deserved to die for what he did IMO. I'm pretty sure he shot at other's as well before being shot dead.

Nathan Gale fired a total of 15 or so shots. Jeff "Mayhem" Thompson, the band's head of security, was killed while engaging in hand-to-hand combat with Gale. Alrosa Villa employee Erin Halk was also killed after charging Gale after he had run out of bullets, expecting him to reload more slowly than he actually did. Audience member Nathan Bray was killed while trying to perform CPR on Dimebag and Mayhem. Damageplan's drum technician, John "Kat" Brooks, and tour manager, Chris Paluska, were shot as well.

Sooo sad. What a waste. I had a picture of him hanging at work for about 7 months after he was killed. Everytime I play CFH on guitar I think of Darrell.

I just saw machine head open for metallica on Thursday and they played some pantera covers in honer of dime. It was awesome!
