How do you get screen shots from dvd's?

Having the computer skills of a chimpanzee, I'm taking the easy way out and asking how you get screen shots to post?  Should this capability be buried somewhere in my pc?

I can get a screen shot from anything on my screen via the "Snipping Tool" program I have on my computers...I have not tried it yet with a DVD......guess maybe I will try.....

A lot of DVD playing software has screen grab capability.  I've had a couple of different ones in the last few years, but they've all basically worked. 



What are you trying to do? 
If it's just a couple specific things, then maybe I or someone else could do it for you.

I usually just pause it, press the Prt Scrn button then paste it in MS Paint and save it as a .PNG extension file so it will not lose any pixel quality... (saving it as a .JPG or .GIF will result in a lower quality picture due to the compression )
