Was there a pontiac version of that car body style?  I swear my friend in college had one, the tail lights are very familiar and i know for sure it was a Pontiac.

The rear hatch, glass size and chrome molding are almost identical in size to a real daytona . You skin the hatch and it fits great as a steel plug . So for 100-500 dollars you replace what would cost you over 5000.00 for a real steel plug , glass and molding.  They make it in fiber glass but steel is much more desirable.

Is there a certain year/years to use, or are they are the same? I have a fiberglass one for my clone, but if I could find a steel one, I'd like to use that.

USE THE 74-79 HATCH if you can find one or weld up the louvers on the early hatch , finding a rust free one is the key they like to rust around the glass and ruin the sheetmetal & molding.  Dont buy one from a wagon they are different .
