I recently got a '73 charger SE and wondered what are the most common spots for cancer rust/repairs for the "frame".>> also, what is the length of the torsion bars? thanks

Mike DC

The rear subframe rails start rotting everywhere behind the axle.  Check all the way to the rear crossmember, basically everything that has a sheetmetal trunkfloor on top of it.

The torsion bar crossmember (under the front seat area) tends to begin rotting at its outer ends (under the rockers) and the rust gradually works inwards from there.

The front subframe rails will first start to go directly above the K-frame.  Get your head up in the front wheelwells and check the outside walls of the subframe rails in that spot.  Between the front bumper bracket mounting point, and the shock tower/UCA mountings.
