Hello,

Getting around to my interior and need suggestions about a radio. Apparently the dash hole has been "modified" to use the term lightly. I'm thinking of squaring the hole off and putting modern radio in. Anybody done this? Have any picks? Ideas? I want something kick A$$ loud

Since the insert is already cut for a aftermarket radio you can get creative and install what will work for you. There have been some pics posted on the set ups with 3rd gen cars. You will need to fabricate a support for the rear since it will have a tendacy to sag. Use the seach option and try some searches. Good luck.

i went with black because the interior is going to be a two-tone mix of black and grey with some real woodgrain......

I've actually already completed the woodgrain......i'll take some pics and post them up too.......i've also built a console, but i'm not satisfied that it's wide enough, so i'm redesigning it......

Kenwood mask (reversing face) unit.  Had to do a bit of fiberglassing to mesh it in.  I could have just installed in "normally", but having it stick out of the dash 1/4 an inch would defeat the purpose of having it flip back to a blank panel
