Is this a dual field alternator?

Can I simply flip the the one post around that appears to be grounded and use it as a dual field alt?
Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

Or is there a way I can check it with a meter to determine if its dual field? The NAPA label reads;

that's a 70 dual field alternator converted in single field grounding one of the brushes and cutting the prong to keep safe and not feed incorrectly the grounded field! That was the only year where dual field roundbacks alt were used. Next year were squarebacks

REALLY all alternators are dual dields since alts need both fields to work ( negative and positive ) BUT being earlier models were one field directly from ground chassis and the other was externally feeded by a wire, then laters with both fields externally feeded or wired, then thats the reason why you got the dual and single field names to make difference.

to make it back dual field just need isolate the grounded brush ( being sure both are isolated from chassis ) and attach a prong, or use a propper terminal to attach to screw... would be easier really replace the brush to get back the prong and use an isolation washer

I'll look at it closer. But I think the post was just flipped around and grounded at the factory when it was re manufactured. I got this alternator when there was still a mechanical voltage regulator in my car. Shortly after I switched to solid state regulator because of the bouncing alt. gauge problem. So this alternator is almost new. Thank You Nacho.
