The lens on top was labeled as an NOS Bird lens.  Mopar Box part # 3420638.  Assy on bottom is one I got from a Fury.  I thought the bottom one was the supposed to be the same as the Bird but I want to make sure before I tell the person whether or not it's a Bird lens and see about sending it back.  Anyone recognise the top one?  I don't have a correct one to look at in person.  Being a rookie I should have compared it first to piece I had upstairs but too many other distractions on my mind at the moment.   Thanks, David

I need a pair of 70-71 Fury housings for my wife's bird clone. Anyone have an extra set?
I bought a set of the repro lenses from Mike at BE&A.

could someone post a pic of a 70-71 fury so I will know what kind of car to look for for these lights? Also were the front lights on a daytona from a 69 Valiant?

oldcarnut

Here's one somebody on ebay got creative to part out a 70 car on a single add.  The other is a 71 listing.

troy.70R/T

thanks, so then I assume that the lights are behind thi grill and I can't see them??????

troy.70R/T

never mind after a closer look I see they are just under the bumper.  So 70-71 fury lights are the correct ones for a superbird? I am working on a Daytona clone, well actually just gathering parts for one still but I might as well start pulling those kinds of parts the furys before the go to the chrushers.

The clear lens are correct like in the pics.  71 has the amber lens I believe.  Both are same size.  If ya run across a decent used set of the clear please let me know.  I have the ones that are cracked in the pics.  Currently the repops are out of my reach.  Larry, I'm cooking a hog for our Mopar club party on the 16th and I'll ask the guy again that has them if he'll turn them loose without me having to buy the whole junk car.  He don't like to just part them out.  David

A hog roast sounds good. IF I run across some I will let you know but I don't really do to much junk yard hunting in the winter but now that I know what to look for I will be able to spot the cars easier. If you do get some from this guy would you post another picture of them?

I guess that when the scrap steel prices went through the roof, a lot of these cars were crushed. Sure wish I had gone ahead and bought a set of housings when I first started this project.
You're correct, the 70 lenses were clear and the 71's were amber, but the housings were the same.
Thanks for checking.
